Hey all!
Just wanted to let you know that we are going to get together for dinner. Let me know if you are interested. Due to limited space, I’m thinking that it will be adults only but I will let you know about kids closer to time. Just depends on how many people will be coming as to if we can have little ones or not.

In 2009, things area going to get even better at this reunion! At the 2008 reunion, there were specific years that were involved to get the reunion kicked off. This year, it is open for all of the alumni to attend.
In a brief update from Jennifer she explains that she will get the ball rolling so after the first of the year for the 2009 Alumni Reunion. What she is going to need is a volunteer or two from each section of the band. (Jennifer will be handling flag corps section.)
So, spread the word to others you see! Since this year we will cover ALL of the graduating classes and alumni from the Decatur High School Band, if you run into anyone from the past or present, pass on this website to them or

HEY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!
ITS THAT TIME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!! OK, i’ll quit hollering now haha!! Wanted you all to know that Gina and I are getting started on the 2009 ALUMNI REUNION!!!!!! Sooo first and foremost, what I need from everyone is updated contact information. If I dont hear from you I will assume that your address and phone number are the same as last year.
So, here’s what we know so far.
1. Send contact info ASAP
2. This year will include ALL alumni!!!!!!!!!
3. Need suggestions on locations, I’m checking into point mallard!!!!
4. Need volunteers to be “section leaders” to be on the “alumni committee”.
5. FACEBOOK admin has closed our facebook page something about the network so I guess my personal one will have to be it. MYSPACE still up and running,, and ERICA… CAN YOU LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE WEBPAGE YOU MADE IS STILL UP AND RUNNING.
6. Kinda a sad note, if there is anyone other than Kathy that has passed away, that you know of please try to get me the contact information of their spouse, children, parents, etc so they can be invited in honor of our friends. Also, any pictures of them would be appreciated to make a small memorial table.
7. I’m working on getting the “official alumni” association started, will pass along more later.

just kidding,, i think thats it for now as far as reunion news goes but I did want to pass along something…
Ray Bryant and his wife are expecting a baby!!!!!!! July 20 They expect little Edmund Connor Bryant to make an appearance!!!! They will be calling him Connor. Ray promises me that he will keep me up to date on his arrival!!! Also,, most of you saw our high school short haired Ray @ last years reunion and was shocked to see his braid all the way down his back??? well, I got word from Kathys husband that Ray cut his long mane and donated it to Locks of Love in honor of our own Kathy McCord Brooks. VERY COOL RAY!!!!!!!!
Ok,, If I think of more, I’ll email ya,, in the mean time,, get your heads together for ideas,, someone volunteer to be a section leader, 1st chair whatever you want to call yourself,, send me new info if I need it,, and LET’S GET READY FOR BAND CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!
